Privacy policy

Member data

We store the email address you register with, your display name, your coop code, your credit balance and the URLs you submit to the rotation. This information is required to operate the co-op.

Visit data

When somebody follows a coop link we record the time, a one-way hash of the IP address, a one-way hash of the IP and user agent combined, the truncated user agent string, and whether the visit was credited. Raw IP addresses are never stored.

Why we record it

Hashed fingerprints exist solely to detect duplicate and automated traffic so that credits are awarded fairly. They are not used for advertising profiles and are not shared with third parties.

Cookies

We set a session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by the co-op itself. Pages shown in the rotation belong to other members and have their own policies.

Retention

Visit records are retained for 12 months and then deleted. Account records are deleted on request.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data or ask for your account to be deleted by contacting the administration team. Deleting an account removes its sites from the rotation immediately.
